Thank you for visiting KenyaInformationGuide.com and for your interest in learning more about us. My name is Rose and I was blessed to be born in the beautiful country of Kenya.
I am from Kitui, located in the Eastern Province of Kenya. I have lived in the Great Rift Valley, Mombasa and Nairobi. I've always been very proud of my heritage and feel extremely lucky to be a native of such a beautiful country inhabited by warm and friendly people.
In 2002, I migrated to the United States and graduated from college with an IT/e-Learning major. But no matter how long I have lived in the States, I still miss home - the beauty, the people, the culture, the wonderful weather, and my dear family and friends.
However, I am thankful for all the blessings that I have received while living in the United States. I go to Kenya as often as I can to catch up with family and friends, and for the fun of just being home.

About this Site
The KenyaInformationGuide.com website is a labor of love for my country which I am proud to be a part of. My goal for starting this website was inspired by the need to share information about Kenya. Since living in the United States, I've often been flooded with all sorts of questions from people who were interested in knowing about Kenya. While some questions have been pretty simple to answer, others have been odd and startling, so to speak. These included questions such as: Where is Kenya? What's life like in Kenya? Are there cities in Kenya? Do people speak English? It quickly dawned on me why these people probably didn't have the answers.
If you are like me and you have an interest in something, one of the first things that you do is look for information on the web - real, unbiased information that is written by someone who knows the subject and who can occasionally share their experiences and insights. I discovered that a lot of information about Kenya on the Internet was either lacking, scarce or incomplete. Some of the information paints a very "grim" picture about Kenya, while most of it is tourist information or businesses selling/promoting their products and services. One thing that you may have already noticed about Kenya-Information-Guide.com is that it's not a typical travel and tourism website. This website aims to provide all sorts of relevant, up-to-date information and resources about Kenya.
My goal for this website is:
- To provide a variety of information that will help you learn more about Kenya - as a Kenyan or a non-Kenyan. You may be a tourist or person who wants to visit Kenya, a student doing research about Kenya, or an investor or business entrepreneur interested in investing or doing business in the country. You could also be interested in Kenyan products or services, or maybe you simply want to learn more about the country. Whatever your reason, I hope to provide you with useful resources and relevant information to help you meet your needs and get the most out of your Kenya experience. This also includes publishing expert information from credible Kenyan sources, as well as sharing my first-hand information and experiences as a Kenyan.
I hope you enjoy exploring this site as much as I have enjoyed creating it. The website is still in the making and I will continue doing to do my homework to bring you the mostre relevant and up-to-date information about Kenya.
