Cheap flights to Kenya
Kenya flights - how and where to search for the deals
Unless you're travelling on a package deal which covers the airfare, one of the easy, quick and most economical way that I found is to book a Kenya flight online . This would cut down on your planning time and save you time that you would otherwise spend on the phone or with travel agents searching for flights to Kenya.
Booking for a Kenya flight on the Internet offers many options to choose from plus you can compare airfares from several airlines and agents instantly. Perhaps one of the best ways to get really cheap flights to Kenya is to either book your flight as far in advance as you can (3-6 months in advance). Travelling to Kenya during the low season is another good alternative. Major airlines have low season rates from January to June and then again from November to early December.
Flights to Kenya from the US and Canada
Currently, there are no direct flights from the US or Canada to Kenya but this is soon going to change. Delta Airlines is scheduled to start regular flights between New York and Nairobi (via Dakar-Senegal) from late 2008. For now, all flights from the US to Nairobi go via Europe. This means you have to change planes and/or airlines while still in the US or Europe.
From the US, North West airlines is affiliated with KLM and Kenya Airways and offers fast connections through London or Amsterdam to Kenya. Return tickets to Nairobi from New York can cost as little as US$1100 in the low season. Fares from Canada may be slightly higher, KLM and British Airways offer flights from Toronto to Nairobi.
Find Cheap Kenya flight through the following websites:
Make sure to use airport code NBO as your arrival city if you're flying to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Nairobi or airport code (MBA) for Mombasa International Airport.
Another of my favorite sites for cheap flights to Kenya is www.kayak.com. Kayak offers an easy to use system and search engine through which you can search for your flight to any destination. The beauty of their system is that it searches, aggregates and brings you back search results from all major airlines and travel booking sites such as Expedia, CheapTickets, Orbitz, Travelocity and many more. It offers you a one-stop shop thus you don't have to hop around to different sites.
All you have to do is enter your departure city, destination city and the expected dates of travel and the booking engine will bring you back pages of results sorted from the cheapest to most expensive airline and airfare at that time. From there you simply select your choice which then sends you to the respective airline's website or travel site. Pull out your credit/debit card and pay for your flight to Kenya. You will have a choice of printing an eTicket or requesting for a paper ticket to be mailed to you.
Once you have your ticket, remember to confirm your ticket before travel. Also don't forget to check out the airlines rules on baggage weight and any other important travel information prior to departing to Kenya. All this information is provided on their websites.
